Substance & Alcohol Policy

It is the policy of SYNCNETIC to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, free from the influence of alcohol and substance abuse.  This policy applies to all employees of SYNCNETIC and includes visitors, consultants, agents and subcontractors at any worksites.

SYNCNETIC strictly prohibits the possession, use, manufacture, distribution, sale, purchase or transfer of alcohol and/or non-prescribed or illicit drugs and controlled substances at any worksites, or while conducting business on SYNCNETIC’s behalf.

All Personnel are required to be free from alcohol and/or non-prescribed or illicit drugs and controlled substances upon entering any worksites and/or commencing work for, or on behalf of Clients.

Personnel in safety critical positions being treated with a prescribed drug or a controlled substance that might adversely affect their ability to perform their work must provide the designated human resources department representative a written statement from their doctor.

By entering a worksite, Personnel are deemed to give their consent for SYNCNETIC to inspect their person and or any possessions brought onto the worksite. To this end, SYNCNETIC reserves the right to conduct inspections for substance or alcohol including but not limited to searches of lockers, filing cabinets, desks, packages which are within the work areas, offices, living quarters, vehicles, vessels, and other such workplaces. Further, SYNCNETIC may randomly test Personnel for compliance with this substance and alcohol free work place policy.

Any alcohol and/or illicit drugs or controlled substances found and worksites will be confiscated without compensation. Any Personnel who is adversely affected by or tested positive for alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to work and will not be paid for lost time. Such Personnel will be subject to disciplinary action including dismissal.

SYNCNETIC requires all persons working for, or on behalf of, Company to report any instances of possession, use, manufacture, distribution, sale, purchase or transfer of alcohol and/or non-prescribed or illicit drugs and controlled substances to the Company workplace supervisor.

Any incidents involving illicit drugs or controlled substances will be brought to the attention of the appropriate law enforcement agency and the Company shall provide its full cooperation in prosecuting such matters.
